How do I use Dashboard Summary?

The “Dashboard” is where you will be able to view statistics on the class’s performance. There are two dashboard options “Summary” and “Data”. In this demonstration, we are looking at “Summary”.

  1. Press the “Dashboard” button that is located on the left hand side menu of your course.
  2. You will be taken to the dashboard page, where the default is “Summary”, you can select the summary of “Performance by Resource” or “Performance by Student”.
  3. Performance by Resource” shows all of your resources, separated by lessons, and assessments and gives a summary of the average grade without indicating individual student grades. For assessments it will also show you the breakdown of each question within an assessment.
  4. Performance by Student” uses pie charts to summarize the statistics. The statistics are separated by lessons and assessments.  There is a color system used to indicate the students grade range as can be viewed below. The center of the pie charts presents the total average grade. In the demonstration there were 7 students that received 80% or more, 11 students that received between 60 – 79%, 8 students that received between 50-59%, and 5 students that received between 0-49%. Lastly you can click on any segment of the pie chart to see the names of the students within the respective group.
